Description
After receiving an anonymous letter accusing Foreign Office official Samuel Fennan of being a communist, George Smiley is tasked to investigate. However, Smiley is shocked to find Fennan dead with a suicide note by his body. Being acquainted with Fennan for years, Smiley is unconvinced by the supposed suicide and decides to investigate further.
